We love the new scarf yarn from Rico called Big Moment. A great project for knitting over the Christmas Holidays. 1 ball of yarn for the wrap plus a pair of 8mm needles (pattern comes free with yarn). Yarn costs 14.95 euro per ball. Our Favourite Christmas Find this year is this Fabulous Book by Arne and Carlos 55 Christmas Balls to Knit. The book is out of print at the moment (but will be available in the New Year). While the Christmas Balls are a challenge to knit at first you soon get into the swing and they become addictive. We have some displayed in our Christmas window at the moment and there are lots more on the needles. Have a look at this video. Why not knit yourself or someone you love this cosy Snood for Christmas. It is very versatile and can be worn over casual or party clothes. We have knittd it in Tivoli Regal which is a very soft yarn and will drape very easily over the shoulders. The yarn costs 4.95 euro a ball and the snood takes 3 balls of yarn and the pattern comes free when you purchase the yarn. We knitted this sample in shade 662 which is a vibrant red colour, perfect for Christmas. Stitch Tea Party

We are having our annual Tea Party on Sunday 9th October from 1:30 to 5:00 pm. Why not drop by and have a cup of tea and some cake and a chat. Bring you knitting and if you have any problems we will help you out.

It is also an opportuntiy to see our new winter stock. We have some lovely new yarns from Wendy, Tivoli, Sirdar, with the usual scarf yarns, Can Can, Can Can Glitz, Tivoli Rolo, Sirdar Shaggy, Woolcraft Tango.

We will be selling off some of our knitted samples on the day at very resonable prices, and there will be a free raffle for anyone who attends. With any luck we will have some beautiful sunshine.
