Our Favourite Christmas Find this year is this Fabulous Book by Arne and Carlos 55 Christmas Balls to Knit. The book is out of print at the moment (but will be available in the New Year). While the Christmas Balls are a challenge to knit at first you soon get into the swing and they become addictive. We have some displayed in our Christmas window at the moment and there are lots more on the needles. Have a look at this video. Why not knit yourself or someone you love this cosy Snood for Christmas. It is very versatile and can be worn over casual or party clothes. We have knittd it in Tivoli Regal which is a very soft yarn and will drape very easily over the shoulders. The yarn costs 4.95 euro a ball and the snood takes 3 balls of yarn and the pattern comes free when you purchase the yarn. We knitted this sample in shade 662 which is a vibrant red colour, perfect for Christmas. Tea Cosies

Just finished knitting 9 tea cosies and these are the finished products. Once again thanks a million to Bernie for putting the display together a brilliant job as usual and also thanks to Mary for bringing us in the fabulous yellow roses.

Some of the tea cosies are taken from Loani Prior’s Really Wild Tea Cosies, some are our own patterns and the blue/brown/white one is taken from Karen’s blog, teabythesea, Grannie’s Traditional Tea Cosy, and we thank Karen for sharing her pattern. Click here if you would like the pattern.
